We are pleased to announce Donna C. Carey, MD, FAAP as the new Director of Case/Disease Management for Alameda Alliance for Health

The Medical Director of Case/Disease Management is a member of the Health Care Services (HCS) Department of the Alameda Alliance for Health (“health plan”), and assists the Chief Medical Officer in developing and implementing clinical policy designed to meet the DHCS triple aim: improving the patient experience of care; improving the health of populations; and reducing the per capita cost of health care. The Medical Director serves as the liaison to the provider network as well as key Alameda County, California State agency (e.g. DHCS & DMHC) and other community programs on behalf of the Alliance. Medical Director also does some concurrent inpatient utilization reviews and outpatient prior authorization reviews
