Application Instructions
The “Doctors On Board Program” is an innovative and exciting opportunity for African American/Black students who are post-baccalaureate, pre-meds, college/university students, community college students, high seniors or juniors interested in becoming physicians to experience a rare snapshot of what it takes to become a physician or pharmacists.
Students will have a phenomenal opportunity to explore various facets of medicine and receive information about medical school preparation.
The Doctors On Board Program provides students interested in becoming a physicians or pharmacists with the following:
- Network with physicians, faculty, residents, medical students, administrators, business professionals
- Attend workshops and receive valuable information on admissions requirements for medical school
- Attend workshops and receive valuable information regarding financial aid for medical school
- MCAT exam preparation and other requirements
- Attend mock medical clinics for students interested in primary care physicians
- Attend mock knot tying and suturing clinics for students in surgery surgeons
- Attend mock immunization and compounding lab for students interested in pharmacy
- Discuss core aspect of medicine and engage in role-play
- Parents & family members attend workshop for “Parents & Family of Future Doctors: How to be Supportive”
- Receive “Doctors On Board Certificate of Completion” at the end of the program
Note: There is no cost to the students for this program.

African American/Black students who are interested in becoming physicians and/or pharmacists. Students who are post-baccalaureate, pre-meds, college/university students, community college students, high seniors or juniors interested in becoming physicians.

What is the Application Deadline?

Thursday, February 28, 2013 by 5:00 P.M.
NOTE: Please apply early. There are 250 slots and which may fill-up before the deadline.

Notification of Acceptance in the Doctors On Board Program
PMF will email a confirmation to those students accepted into the program.
IMPORTANT: STUDENTS MUST REPLY IMMEDIATELY TO THIS EMAIL AND CONFIRM THEIR ATTENDANCE AND EMAIL ADDRESS. STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED INTO THE PROGRAM UNTIL PMF RECEIVES THIS EMAIL.
Thereafter, all future communications and next steps will be sent to students via email. Students should check their email frequently and follow-up promptly as indicated.
NOTE: PMF may contact you for additional information. Please list only emails that you check or telephone numbers that you will answer and/or listen to voicemail messages and return calls. If you do not answer or return the call promptly you may not be accepted in program. Please also remember to check your email spam and your voicemail.
