Dr. Shaina Lipa had a tremendous impact on DOB Programs while at UCSF as a medical students. Many of you connected with Shaina in many different ways.
In addition to being a co-coordinator of DOB Programs, she also help to set-up the DOB Mock Suture/Knot clinics, joined PMF at numerous SNMA Conventions around the country, received scholarships from PMF and SMMA.
In addition, while during her residency at Harvard, PMF wrote one of 2 letters of recommendations for her to received the prestigious Commonwealth Fund Mongan Fellowship in Minority Health Policy. The Fellowship was for almost $50,000.
Shaina was and I am sure still is an awesome mentor to many pipeline students and was so supportive of PMF’s mission and goals. We are all proud of her and congratulates her and her new family.
