About PMF
Founded in 2002 as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, PMF’s mission is to encourage and inspire the education, training, and resources for recruitment and retention of African-American/Black and underrepresented minority physicians; AND,
- to provide an infrastructure that helps eliminate health disparities,
- improve health equity and access in medical care,
- and build generational healthiness for people in the Northern California Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area.
Doctors On Board® Goals
The goal of the Doctors On Board Program® is to provide pipelines and pathways for students who want to become medical doctors. The pipelines of future doctors start in high school and include community college, college/university, post baccalaureate, medical school and residency.
