The American Heart Association is seeking interns to support our Start Training program and CycleNation in the East Bay. Candidates must be 18 years of age and pass a background check.
American Heart Association internships are a great way for college students to gain professional experience and build their resumes. Interns also have the opportunity to take part in pursuing our mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Start Training Intern
We are looking for an intern for our half marathon training and fundraising program, Start Training. The internship is available now and will run through the end of April 2017. Candidates must be 18 years of age and available to work on-site at our downtown Oakland office at least 10 hours per week during business hours, 8:30am-5:00pm. Our Oakland office is walking distance from the 19th St BART station. Interns will receive training and experience in the following areas:
- Event planning
- Data entry and database management using Blackbaud
- Website up keep
- Administrative duties
- Communicate directly with program participants
- Fundraising management
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
