The Michigan Health Sciences Career Development Academy is an 8-week preparatory residential program for students applying to medical school. The academy focuses on preparing students for the extensive process of applying and gaining admission to medical school.
Program Dates:
Online MCAT coursework begins: May 24, 2020
On campus CDA experience begins: June 7, 2020
End Date: August 1, 2020
Eligibility
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Have a valid U.S. social security number
- Be a current junior up to a college graduate
- Must have a minimum cumulative and science GPA of 3.2
Student Receives
- $3,200 stipend
- Room and board
- Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) preparation (160 instruction hours and 300+ study hours)
- American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) preparation services
- Mock interviews and physician shadowing experiences
- Leadership, professional development, and health disparities workshops
