Event Highlights
- PMF also presented each new doctor with a 10,000 mAh power bank to help charge their phones and devices during residency.
- Dr. Brooks, PMF President, presented a $1,500 scholarship award to Dr. Ian Joseph for his commitment to outreach and mentoring the pipeline of future doctors.
- Dr. Aminah Najieb, Capitol Medical Society, presented each of the new doctors with a $1,500 scholarship.
- Dr. Katrina Peters, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the National Medical Association (NMA), presented each new doctor with an NMA pin and a complimentary first year of membership in the NMA.
Stalfana A. Bello, M.P.A., PMF Executive Director, congratulated the new doctors and their families and wished them success in residency.
Dr. Brooks presented a scholarship to the new Dr. Ian Joseph for his incredible commitment to outreach and mentoring future doctors.
Dr. Strudwick presented special recognition to Dr. Charlene Green, PsyD, Associate Dean, and UCD SOM for their outstanding commitment to supporting African American/Black students on their path to becoming doctors.
